About Mary
With 12 combined years of lessons in vocal performance, piano, and guitar—and three years of experience teaching in private, small group, and classroom settings—Mary Matthew brings a well-rounded musical background to RPM Studios. She is passionate about instilling a genuine love of music in her students and helping them apply foundational skills to real moments in their everyday playing. Whether a student wants to perform for an audience or simply find more joy in their instrument, Mary teaches with clarity, intention, and encouragement.
Teaching Experience
Mary has been teaching music for three years and specializes in guiding beginners through essential technique, rhythm, chord structure, and creative expression.
Fun Fact: An artist who sparked her appreciation for music theory and history is Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, who remain among her favorites today.

Mary’s extensive performance history enriches her instruction, giving students insight into both live performance and studio musicianship. Her experience includes:
12 years of vocal and instrumental solo and group performances
4 years in Point Loma Nazarene University’s Concert Choir
6 years as part of the acoustic trio B.A.M.

Mary holds a B.A. in Commercial Music Production from Point Loma Nazarene University. She has also earned several awards and recognitions for her musicianship, including:
